Qualified team member will work under direction of the Lead Mechanic, is responsible to maintain and repair all Fleet owned vehicles and equipment owned by Bonneville Asphalt in our shop location.
DUTIES This position performs preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicles and equipment; diagnosis, service and repairs all classes of vehicles and equipment in the fleet; performs welding and fabricating work as needed; performs heavy equipment repair and systems, i.e. hydraulics, air, electrical on both gasoline and diesel power systems; performs small engine and pump repair, maintenance and service; maintains proper inventory or parts and equipment, along with part orders as directed by Lead Mechanic. Maintains records of all work performed on fleet and equipment; responds to road and work site emergencies; performs other duties as instructed. Must provide own tools
QUALIFICATIONS Must be skilled in the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and heavy machinery. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent; must possess a valid Utah Drivers License. Must have the ability to maintain legible and accurate records. Must have a knowledge of mechanic safety procedures. Must be adept in establishing priority of work. The right candidate will have excellent communication skills; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand on concrete floor, asphalt work yard; bend, stoop crouch, kneel and crawl as needed to repair vehicles and equipment, must be physically able to work as needed to make all types of repairs, etc. This position performs preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicles and equipment; diagnosis, service and repairs all classes of vehicles and equipment in the fleet; performs welding and fabricating work as needed; performs heavy equipment repair and systems, i.e. hydraulics, air, electrical on both gasoline and diesel power systems; performs small engine and pump repair, maintenance and service; maintains proper inventory of parts and equipment, along with part orders as directed by Lead Mechanic. 5. TRUCK DRIVER
$18 -25.00 per hour DOE
DESCRIPTION This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks, end dumps and or belly dumps (with and without pups (trailers) and tarpIng systems). Drivers will deliver all types of aggregates, asphalt and other materials to locations both residential and commercial.
DUTIES Thorough operational knowledge and skills of end dumps and / or belly dumps (with and without pups) and related equipment to be operated. Operating equipment safely and efficiently must be a priority. Must keep time and material records Can easily follow verbal and written instructions Knowledge of different types of sizes of aggregates Ability for safely maneuvering and backing with pup trailer Can connect and disconnect a pup trailer Must be able to communicate effectively on the radio system Doubles / Triples a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education / experience
CERTIFICATES / LICENSE / REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements. Also must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standards
WORK REQUIREMENTS One to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
